The Protection from Sexual Extortion Amendment Act of 2017 (B22-0472)

This bill revises the definition of extortion to include sexual extortion. Sexual extortion occurs when a person obtains possession of sexually explicit images and demands that another person, the victim, provide additional images or in–person sex acts under threat of distributing the images.

Organizations are allowed a maximum of five minutes for oral testimony. Individuals are allowed a maximum of three minutes.  Please provide 20 double-sided copies of your written testimony and, if possible, submit an electronic copy to judiciary@dccouncil.us
