Trauma Informed Leadership: Fostering Strength and Resilience in Staff and Clients

  • Wendt Center For Loss and Healing 4201 Connecticut Avenue Northwest #300 Washington, DC 20008 (map)

Recent research has demonstrated the impact that trauma can have on a person’s ability to navigate the world in a healthy and stable way. Therapeutic interventions can transform the way the brain works and foster post-traumatic growth and resilience. However, trauma-informed services don’t start in the therapy room. Supervisors and leadership are uniquely positioned to transform their agencies into ones that understand the impact of trauma at the micro, macro and mezzo levels.

This three-hour training will provide supervisors and leaders with the skills and tools necessary to transform their agency into a trauma informed one. Specific areas to be covered include: management, supervision, communication, meetings, forms, and aesthetics. Participants will leave with practical tools that can be implemented the next day without breaking the bank.

Light Continental Breakfast will be served.
