ADAM MIDDLETON, DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY AND CAPACITY-BUILDING
Adam Middleton supports the capacity-building and outreach initiatives of the DC Coalition to End Sexual Violence. He brings over 10 years of experience as a strategic communications leader shaping and amplifying the voices of executives and institutions across government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sectors.
He most recently served in the Government of the District of Columbia, providing oversight and strategic counsel for the citywide communications of the eight agencies in the District's education and workforce cluster, including DC's public schools, parks, libraries, and labor systems.
Prior to that, he was the first-ever digital director at MCSR, overseeing the organization’s rebrand. In 2020 and 2021, he led social media and engagement for the MBK Alliance at the Obama Foundation, creating digital content to connect underserved communities and their allies to crucial resources during the COVID-19 pandemic and grassroots racial justice demonstrations around the country. Adam started his career at Connections Media and Outcast in 2015, supporting a variety of mission-oriented and industry-leading clients.
He earned a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the George Washington University.
